Your new opportunity

We are currently recruiting full or part time Female Support Workers within our Adult Support Living services in Cowdenbeath Fife. The service in Fife provides person centred support to people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health concerns. We support people to live in their own homes, making use of local resources. We promote an outcomes based approach for all the people we support. This is a role where you can build long lasting relationships and be a part of people achieving their personal goals while living fulfilling meaningful lives. This is 1:2:1 support where you will be support people in their day-to-day lives including, assisting with cooking and cleaning, supporting them with their hobbies and interests, attending appointments, managing finances, support health and wellbeing and providing personal care.

We also pay sleepover hours at £10.90 per hour.

Working pattern: We support people 24/7 therefore a level of flexibility is required to meet individual needs. All staff will have a period of shadowing experienced staff before they lone work with people. We pay our sleepover shift at an hourly rate of £10.90 and nightshift paid at a premium rate of £11.88 per hour. 

What you will need to bring to the role 

  • Compassion and kindness to support people in their day to day lives.
  • Enthusiasm and self-motivation.
  • Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.
  • Excellent problem solver who is driven by positive outcomes.
  • Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
  • Good IT & communication skills.
  • A full driving license is desirable.
