Renfrewshire Supported Living Initiative provides support to people in their own homes, across Renfrewshire and the surrounding areas to live independently and be active citizens. The people supported by the service have a range of support needs related to physical disability, learning disability and acquired brain injury. Each Team Leader has their own allocated caseload of services and staff and plays a key role in ensuring the delivery of high quality care and support, monitoring the quality of the service and engaging with the people being supported to ensure their outcomes are met and their voices are heard.
We are looking for a Team Leader (39 hours) who will be responsible for leading and managing a staff team through mentoring, supervision, appraisal and team development opportunities. The successful candidate will be an experienced social care professional with some management experience or evidence of self-development to support taking the step into a management role. The successful candidate will also have extensive experience in working in a person centred way, awareness of Positive Behaviour Support Planning, Risk Assessment and the ability to effectively manage their time and prioritise their objectives.
You will be joining a well established management team and will be supported through a structured period of familiarisation and induction by the Project Manager and Depute Manager. The service office base is at Abbeymill Business Centre in Paisley and part of the working week will be spent there, the remaining time will be spent at individual services. Each Team Leader undertakes around 8 hours a week of direct support and also takes part in an on call rota, approximately 7 days per month. The service operates 365 days of the year and the working pattern can include weekends and evenings. There is some degree of flexibility in the rota and the option to undertake occasional sleepover shifts.

The successful candidate must have a full current drivers licence and access to own transport.
