Your new opportunity

Our Falkirk Children’s Rights Service is currently recruiting a Children’s Right’s Participation Worker to join our dedicated team who cover cases throughout Falkirk, Stirlingshire.

You will be joining a small dedicated team who provide support to children and young people and their families ensuring we align the work we do to ‘The Promise’ that Scotland’s children will grow up loved, safe and respected. 

Successful candidates will be allocated caseloads and work to deliver positive outcomes that will encourage children, young people and their families express their views, feelings and wishes in all matters affecting them. 

Working pattern: Full time working 35 hours per week. We are offering a 12 month maternity cover contract.

What you will need to be considered: 

  • A relevant qualification HNC/SVQ related to working with children and young people or equivalent work experience 
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies pertaining to children’s rights
  • Knowledge of the care system in Scotland & issues affecting children and young people with experience of care and additional support needs.
  • Good IT & communication skills.
  • Full driving licence and own vehicle is essential as travel will be require for visits.
