You’ll work alongside a dedicated team committed to helping people achieve their goals, develop new skills, and live the lives they choose.

About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will combine hands-on support with day-to-day leadership, helping colleagues maintain consistently high standards of person-centred care. You will support good practice, contribute to the organisation and quality of the service, and help create a positive and inclusive environment where both colleagues and the people we support can thrive.

This is a 12-month temporary post ¦ 39 Hours Per Week role, working 5 days over 7 on a rota basis.

Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the people we support, including evenings and weekends.

This role may be made permanent at the end of the temporary contract.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating and supporting colleagues on shift.
  • Providing guidance, coaching and mentoring to help ensure consistency in practice.
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of person-centred support plans, risk assessments and accurate records.
  • Building positive relationships with families, partner agencies and other key stakeholders.
  • Contributing to service planning, quality assurance, audits and continuous improvement.
  • Providing hands-on support that enables people to make informed choices, develop independence and achieve their goals.

You will have:

  • Experience in a person-centred social care or support environment.
  • Experience supporting, mentoring or guiding others.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
  • The ability to balance hands-on support with wider senior responsibilities.
  • A strong commitment to person-centred care, inclusion, dignity and respect for every individual.
  • An SVQ qualification, or willingness to work towards one.
